Dress of the Month: Peter Trends Fawn dress (Style FS5600)

Fawn FS5600-2If a beautiful ethereal look is what you’re after for your wedding dress, then it’s hard to go past one of the most stunning designs from Peter Trends Bridal. Called the Fawn dress (Style FS5600), it is a gorgeously fitted lace gown with a V-neck front and back that gives the bride a stunning soft silhouette.

We love how the silhouette is quite minimalistic but the detail is in the design and the placement of the lace. The lace perfectly follows the contours of the body creating that stunning hourglass silhouette.

The gown itself is constructed using a strapless base dress and then the lace sheath is placed over it. This allows it to hug the right spots on top then lets the dress fall away to the floor. The length at the back of the dress gives the impression of a train but without it becoming the main feature of the gown.

It’s the sort of dress you could ramp up with accessories, make-up and hair for a formal look. Or you could pull the look back a bit with minimal jewellery and long flowing hair, the same way they have styled this gorgeous image of the gown.

We love the Peter Trends Bridal selection. Peter Trends Bridal started in Australia in 1969 when Peter Boersma and his lovely wife Elvie began designing bridal accessories. In 1990 the second generation took over and Monique and Paulein have been designing an array of traditional, modern and vintage wedding dress creations and accessories ever since.

Monique Boersma made headlines after the Sydney bushfires in 2013 with a lovely act of kindness.

Bride-to-be Alicen Thrift lost her wedding gown and bridal party clothes when the bushfires destroyed her parents’ home in Springwood. When Monique heard of Alicen’s plight on Nova FM, she jumped into action, offering up a stunning dress from their range.

“It’s about a happy bride crossing the gown of her dreams off her wedding to do list.” Monique said.

The Peter Trends Bridal selection most definitely has a swag of stunning dream gowns.

Enough to make any bride’s dream come true.
